Virginia Tech’s aggregate of educational prowess and soccer custom, and his dating with the training personnel, ended in his commitment to this system. He plans to main in communications.

“I picked Virginia Tech because it meets all of my criteria for college,” Evans instructed Opponents. “Virginia Tech is a top-20 public university, and the 47th best college in the country (overall), showing Tech’s high-caliber academics. They also have a good communications program.

“I had a superior excursion of one of the vital media research constructions, had a excursion of the studio that one of the vital communications scholars utility, together with the behind-the-scenes issues. I noticed the shape of the artwork pitch forums and video switchers that the scholars utility when in manufacturing or broadcasting. It used to be very informational and thrilling. I additionally had a Zoom assembly with Invoice Roth, the ‘Resonance of the Hokies.’ It used to be superior for me to fulfill this kind of Hokie icon and be informed from him!”

Something else that is important to Evans is carrying on the history of Virginia natives making a big impact for the Hokies on the football field. He wants to see the program keep the in-state talent in Blacksburg. This is also important to head coach Brent Pry.

“It method a quantity as a lead in-state man to play games for the lead college within the shape,” Evans said. “I met with Lecturer Pry, and he began speaking in regards to the moment of this system and the place he’s taking them. He used to be speaking about find out how to get Tech again to the place they had been, and the way they’ve to get again to getting the lead avid gamers in Virginia. I wish to apply within the steps of Virginia greats that got here prior to me — Mike Vick, Bruce Smith, DeAngelo Corridor. They had been there, and Tech used to be excellent. “Lecturer Worth, the D-line professor, he used to be appearing me their stats from the defensive facet of the ball this occasion season,” Evans said. “They had been tenth within the FBS in sacks, 2d within the ACC in tackles for loss. They had been first within the ACC in cross protection, they usually had been 2d within the ACC in general protection. And Lecturer Worth mainly confirmed me the place I’d play games of their protection, and mainly confirmed me all of the other formations and units they’ve. They combine it up a quantity.”

Evans is a workforce captain for Stone Bridge, the place he performs as each a defensive lineman and offensive lineman. He additionally excels as a scholar, as he carries a three.52 grade level reasonable and is a member of the Nationwide Honor Folk.

At the farmland, Evans describes his recreation as “fast, twitchy, and aggressive.” He is aware of he’s going to want to rush a few years to manufacture and form an have an effect on within the school recreation, however he believes he’s going to be a dominant power for the Hokies going forward.
